"Morro Bay" captures a quiet coastal moment at the edge of evening. Beneath the fading glow of sunset, a sea otter drifts across calm water while Morro Rock rises in silhouette against the horizon. Inspired by shared visits to the California coast, the work reflects the stillness and rhythm of life along the bay: drifting tides, changing light, and the small rituals of survival unfolding within an immense landscape. The scene emphasizes intimacy rather than spectacle, transforming a familiar coastline into a meditation on calm, observation, and atmosphere.
